Activator Overview

Activator supports two types of users: "Patrons" and "Recipients".

A Patron is an organization that pays to use Activator to manage one or more marketing partnerships. A Patron can be a property, agency, or brand.

A Recipient is the "other side" of the partnership, and can also be a property, agency or brand. When invited by a Patron to join Activator, a Recipient receives free access to the platform to manage their relationship with that specific Patron. The Recipient receives that base-level access at no charge; however, if they require additional storage or services, the Recipient is responsible for those costs - NOT the Patron.

Activator is the ultimate retention tool, improving the entire service and activation process throughout the duration of a partnership, and serving as an ongoing recap tool to keep your partners continually updated and engaged.

In addition to offering robust internal functionality, Activator's API allows you to easily integrate the platform with your internal CRM system, enabling you to automatically push up-to-date deliverable details from CRM into Activator. Activator's API is also available to any vendor wishing to integrate into Activator (i.e., measurement and data companies such as Nielsen, Arbitron, Repucom; video clipping services; ticket inventory management platforms; etc.).

In Activator, each marketing partnership is housed in its own channel. Your property (and/or agency) is responsible for keeping your channels up to date by posting progress reports and proof of performance to the channel "Wall" and/or to specific deliverables. Posts can include any type of content: audio, video, images, data, documents, etc., and serve as a real-time recap for you and your group. On your side of the channel, you and your extended business team (e.g., your experiential agency, communications firm, field marketers, co-op partners, vendors, etc.) receive your own secure, private workspace that lives outside the view of your channel partner. Your private workspace can be used for internal planning, communicating, scheduling, file sharing, reviewing, evaluating, and recapping, to inform and align everyone on your side of any partnership.

Activator is much more secure than email or ordinary FTP sites, utilizing an email address and user password to authenticate each user. Numerous checks are rigorously performed at both the application level and the database level, matrixed across: the account layer, the channel layer, and the user layer. These extremely stringent controls are core to Activator's system architecture, making Activator not only safe, but unique. Turnkey has obtained independent certification from TrustE and fully complies with all applicable sections of the PCI DSS. Secure HTTPS access to Activator is controlled via 128-bit security certificate, services provided by Comodo.

All Activator licenses are month-to-month, with the right to cancel any time. All Activator accounts include unlimited users/seats, and pricing based solely on the number of channels opened. Any channel can be opened or closed any time.
