Len Perna has been a top executive in the sports industry since 1985 when he began his sports career as a business attorney for Cap Cities ABC/ESPN, Inc. Len's hands-on experience since that time spans sales, marketing, broadcast, facility development, facility management, licensing, acquisitions, and senior level management.
Before founding Turnkey Sports, Len served as the Vice President of Business Operations & General Counsel of the Dallas Stars where he helped drive the Stars from the bottom of the NHL in revenue to the top. Len gained passage of the "Brimer Bill" in Texas for sports facility funding and served as the point person in the creation of the American Airlines Center.
Prior to the Stars, Len served as the Executive Director-General Sales Manager of the Detroit Tigers, the Detroit Red Wings, the FOX Theater Group and the facility management company, Olympia Entertainment, Inc. Len managed all sales, broadcast, licensing, publishing and new business opportunities (including acquisitions), increasing revenues by more than 400 percent.
Len received his B.A. from the University of Michigan, magna cum laude, and his J.D. from the University of Michigan School of Law, magna cum laude. Len also graduated summa cum laude from Ohio University with a Masters in Sports Business Management and summa cum laude from the Sports Executive Training Program at New York University.
